In other words, are you the future of theatre?

If so, TCG's Leadership U program, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, may offer a fantastic opportunity for you with its One-on-One grants, whose online registration and postmark deadline of December 12, 2011 is fast approaching.

The Leadership U Program was created by TCG in order to strengthen the field by helping to develop and nurture the individuals who serve as theatre's very future, and its One-On-One grants of $75,000 will be awarded to six exceptionally talented early-career leaders from all areas of theatre for professional development, via mentorships at a TCG Member Theatre, with an additional $5,000 honorarium for their mentor. In addition, up to $10,000 in supplemental funds will be available for one or more of the following: outstanding student loans, approved supplemental activities, and/or life needs including health care, child or elder care, or other medical expenses. Up to an additional $4,500 will be available for mentee and mentor travel.

I've covered TCG twice in a row this week, but this opportunity is a terrific one, and deserves the mention. To apply, download the guidelines (available in PDF here), register online, download and complete the application PDF, and print, sign and postmark the application by December 12, 2011. At this point you must also have registered online. It looks like a great opportunity, so don't miss it -- and let us know if you get it!
