Music notation software notable Steinberg (Cubase, Sequel, Nuendo) recently announced the opening of a new Research & Development center in London, whose skilled developers and product specialists will focus on developing software for the music notation and education markets. The new Steinberg team includes several key Sibelius employees recently hit by the London office closure, and will begin work in the next few weeks on "a new generation of products, designed to give customers in the education and composing markets the best support possible."

Well, that works too of course. Maybe I’ll publish a list of online resources next. There are some great ones out there, and a few that actually show and tell idiomatic writing for instrument-specific techniques, with videos! It’s always helpful to go see a video of bisbigliando before you write it in the part.
