The first photos of Emilia Clarke (HBO's "Game of Thrones") as famed party girl Holly Golightly have appeared, from the upcoming world premiere of TonyŽ Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new adaptation of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's. The new stage adaption of Capote's classic novella, directed by Sean Mathias, also stars Cory Michael Smith and will begin performances at Broadway's Cort Theatre on Monday, March 4, with opening night set for Wednesday, March 20, 2012.
The creative team for the new show features some impressive design talent, including TonyŽ Award-winner Derek McLane (Scenic Design), three-time Academy Award-winner Colleen Atwood (Costume Design), TonyŽ Award-winner Peter Kaczorowski (Lighting Design), Wendall K. Harrington (Projections Design) and Rob Milburn & Michael Bodeen (Music and Sound Design).
While there aren't a lot of images yet, the photos are pretty interesting, providing what appears to be a slightly new, sleeker take on Holly's look by Atwood, that nevertheless offers classic reminders of the immortal character created on film by Audrey Hepburn. What do you think of Clarke's new look? It's a far cry from her platinum tresses as Daenerys for "Game of Thrones!"
