Are you a set design aficionado in the vicinity of East Haddam, Connecticut? If so, from January 21-26, 2013, Goodspeed Musicals is offering an intensive class you may want to pursue, with the chance to learn from the best scenic painters in the industry during a 6-day "Introduction to Scenic Painting Intensive." Participants in the intensive will receive expert instruction from a team of esteemed teaching artists like Diane Fargo, Howard C. Jones, and more, and including current and former Goodspeed staff. Students will acquire vital foundational scenic painting skills in everything from the creation of textured surfaces (using a variety of scenic painting techniques) to other useful skills including cartooning, color mixing, squaring up, drop layout, and wood graining.
