Sharpen those pencils and grab your gobos! Entries are now being accepted for the iSquint.net and Stage Directions Student Lighting Design Competition (SLDC), sponsored by Nemetschek Vectorworks, City Theatrical and Field Template.
The winner of this year's competition -- held for the third straight year -- will receive an enviable prize package offering just about every tool a student lighting designer could possibly hunger for, including a professional license of Vectorworks® Spotlight 2013 with Renderworks® software, a personal license of Lightwright™ 5, a single license of Field Template™ SoftSymbols V3.5, a copy of Light Plot Deconstructed by Gregg Hillmar and a copy of the upcoming Entertainment Design: Scenery, Lighting, and Sound with Vectorworks Spotlight by Kevin Lee Allen. In addition, this year's winner will also be featured on iSquint.net, as well as on Planet Vectorworks, Nemetschek Vectorworks' news site.
Entries are due March 29, 2013. Learn more about the competition and how to enter in my article here -- and good luck, students!
