With the theme of "Razzle Dazzle," the 13th Annual Column Awards took place recently, hosted by awards founder John Garcia, along with two-time Tony Award-winner and Broadway legend Chita Rivera (West Side Story, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Chicago, Nine, and more), awarding excellence in theatre in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The evening featured performances from several of the nominated productions for Best Musical, from Next to Normal (Uptown Players), to How To Succeed Without Really Trying (ICT Mainstage), Cats (Garland Summer Musicals), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Plaza Theatre Company), Pippin (Theatre Three), Spring Awakening (Watertower Theatre), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Plaza Theatre Company), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Artisan Center Theater), The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Greater Lewisville Community Theatre), and Xanadu (Level Ground Arts).
