The Outer Critics Circle Awards nominations for 2011 are out, and the organization celebrates its 61st season to date with its picks for excellence from the latest Broadway season.

Top nominees include Sister Act, with nine nominations, Anything Goes (2010 revival), with eight nominations, and six nominations for The Book of Mormon and The Motherf**ker with the Hat. Achieving five nominations were the 2010 revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Good People, while productions achieving four nominations included Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Good People, War Horse, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. The critical hit Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo achieved three nominations, as did Catch Me If You Can, Other Desert Cities, and Brief Encounter.

The Outer Critics Circle is made up of the group of critics and writers who cover the New York theatre for newspapers, magazines, radio, television, national publications and other media sources outside New York.

The winners of this year’s Outer Critics Circle Awards will be announced on Monday, May 16, 2011, with the ceremony honoring the recipients held on Thursday, May 26, at Sardi's Restaurant in New York City.
