The winners of the 15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards were announced on February 19, 2013, when the Guild handed out competitive awards for costume design excellence in seven categories in film, television and commercials.
Actor and comedian Joel McHale hosted the 15th Annual CDG Awards ceremony, where four honorary awards were also presented at the Awards Gala, and this year, the Guild honored Anne Hathaway with the LACOSTE Spotlight Award, which was presented to her by Russell Crowe, her co-star in the film Les Misérables.
Three-time Oscar nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky was awarded this year’s Career Achievement in Film honor, and was presented the award by writer, producer and director Gary Ross.
Five-time Emmy nominee Eduardo Castro received the Career Achievement in Television honor, and co-stars of ABC’s “Once Upon A Time,” Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, presented him with the Award.
The Distinguished Collaborator Award was presented to legendary Executive Producer, Lorne Michaels by Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, Steve Martin, and Michaels’ long time Costume Design designer on both “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock,” Tom Broecker.
Presenters at the 2013 ceremony also included Shirley MacLaine, Connie Britton, Famke Janssen, Tate Donovan, Lily Collins, Cat Deeley, Gabriel Mann and Ashley Madekwe. Presenters, nominees and honorees were escorted to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in stylish and luxurious Audi sedans, with attendees including Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt, Randy Newman, Jacqueline Mazarella, Meredith Monroe, Roma Maffia, Madeleine Stowe, Christa B. Miller, Connor Paolo, Jamie Bamber and Masi Oka.
